The LGV C1 (C1 ambulance) driving licence is required to drive most ambulances and horse boxes. Generally the London Ambulance Service requires you to have the LGV C1  licence entitlement. Other areas of the county, such as Surrey Ambulance Service and Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire Ambulance Service, require both the LGV C1 and PCV D1 licence entitlements.

If you are unsure which LGV C1  training course you require we can carry out an assessment drive to determine your course.

IMPORTANT: When looking for a training provider make sure you know how many hours you are getting per day. Many providers are quoting " Price per day " but the day is typically only 3 to 3.5 hours duration.

Our LGV C1 ambulance driver training vehicles are easy to drive VW LT 46 and Iveco Daily Thay have the advantage of being small and manoeuvrable, with simple controls, brakes and gears, whilst meeting all DSA requirements to gain your LGV C1 ambulance licence.
