Pass your car and trailer test (B+E) with our intensive trailer training courses.
The B+E test is conducted in a DSA LGV driving test centre and lasts about one and a half hours. A much higher standard of driving than the car test is required.
For the car and trailer (B+E) towing test we normally advise between two to four days training depending on your driving and towing experience, to get you to the DSA vocational test standard.
No theory test or medical is required for the B+E test. All courses are one to one tuition unless arranged by you.
Important: you must produce both parts of your driving licence on the day of your test or the DSA will not conduct your driving test and the fees will be lost.

Course options
2 Day course £465 + VAT This course is ideal if you have towing experience and can reverse reasonable well.
3 Day course £645 + VAT This course is ideal if you have a little towing experience
4 Day course £825 + VAT This is our beginners course, ideal if you have no towing experience.
Assessment Drive £30 + VAT
Each day consists of six hours one to one training with a short break, starting the day at our safe off road site, with the driving test at the end of the last day. The courses cover all that is required for you to pass the B+E test.

Did you know that drivers who passed a car test on or after 1 January 1997 are required to pass an additional driving test in order to tow large trailers and gain entitlement to category B+E and all larger vehicles. Category B Vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes MAM and with up to 8 passenger seats may be coupled with a trailer up to 750kgs MAM (allowing a combined weight up to 4.25 tonnes MAM) OR a trailer over 750kgs MAM provided the MAM of the trailer does not exceed the unlade weight of the towing vehicle, and the combination does not exceed 3.5 tonnes MAM.
All drivers who passed a car test before 1 January 1997 retain their existing entitlement to tow trailers until their licence expires. This means they are generally entitled to drive a vehicle and trailer combination up to 8.25 tonnes MAM. They also have entitlement to drive a minibus with a trailer over 750kgs MAM.
